The Perfect Chai

Of course when I use the word ‘perfect’ it’s based solely on my opinion.  🙂

This ‘perfect’ blend of spices is not only a treat for our taste buds, it’s a bit of a treat for the rest of our beautiful bodies.  🙂

Because we drink this often, I like to soak the spices in water overnight – enhances the flavours.

In a 4c mason jar….

  • 8-10 cloves
  • 6 cracked cardamon pods
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Fill the mason jar with water and soak overnight (or longer) ……. when you’re ready to enjoy, pour it all into a pot and bring to a boil …. turn down to low and let it simmer away for a while.  the water will reduce almost by half.  then add in two tablespoons of red rooibos tea (or two teabags)  …. let it simmer for another ten minutes and then add a generous amount (about a cup) of ‘So Delicious’ unsweetened coconut milk (or the non dairy milk of your choice)  ……….. once this has been heated to the temperature you desire, pour into your favorite tea cup, add a little bit of your favorite, healthy sweetener and relax!  🙂
