Nut & Seed Butter!

on May 21, 2012

I really can’t believe this is the first time we’ve done this!

It is SO easy.

In the food processor…

  • 1/2c of raw cashews
  • 1/2c of raw almonds
  • 1/2c of raw sunflower seeds

Process for four or five minutes … using a spatula a couple of times to scrap down the goodness stuck to the side … and in no time you will have yourself almost one cup of fresh, healthy, you know what’s in it nut/seed butter!

Just almonds would do … peanuts, brazil nuts or pumpkin seeds!  Options are endless!

Spread a little of this on a slice of apple and maybe sprinkle a little granola on that and you have a great, healthy snack!  🙂

Happy, healthy eating y’all!

This looks yummy – I always thought one needed special equipment to make nut butter (and it’s pretty pricey to buy) , so I’m going to try this for sure! Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂

  2. I love making nut butters. I usually use brazil nuts instead of sunflower seeds so I will have to try this combination. Looks yummy 🙂
