Sneaky Smoothie…

Good morning!

In a blender…

  • 1 banana
  • 1c fresh or frozen berries (this morning we used blueberries)
  • 1c fresh spinach
  • 1/3 of an avocado
  • 1/2c plain yogurt (we use 0% to avoid the saturated fats)
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1tbsp flax or hemp seeds
  • 1tsp freshly ground tumeric (available at your local health stores)
  • dash of cinnamon
  • protein powder (optional)

What a great way to start your day…and you’ve had 4 of seven colours!!  🙂

    That looks awesome. I am having this for my breakfast today! fyi – I purchase avocados when they are in season (cheaper than usual) and take off the skin and seed them, halve them and freeze them – idea from Greg Roche-Joujon, trainer and holistic guy!
